Enjoy these photos from Boulder, Colorado’s fireworks display at Folsom Field. I took all of these using a Canon 50D, 10-20 mm wide angle lens and a tripod. All of the exposures were “Bulb,” meaning that I used a remote shutter release to start and stop each exposure. I set the focus to infinity, and used ISO 100 and f/8 for exposure. All images were taken in RAW, and I turned off long exposure noise reduction (it was taking too long between images). I found the best place to photograph the fireworks in Boulder was inside Folsom stadium, fairly low to the field. FYI, the event staff didn’t question me bringing in a tripod (I brought a plastic one, just in case). I also used a stripped down camera bag, so that I wouldn’t raise any suspicions with a lot of big gear. Sadie helped with the shutter release and took many of these images with me. I hope you enjoy them!
